October 25-28, 2007 | Highland Hotel & Convention Center, Great Bend, Kansas Spouses Group Revised Schedule as of September 8, 2007 Please join us for the spouses group; you will have a great time! We have planned a variety of activities, plus left plenty of time for you to do anything you would like. Friday, October 26th, 2007 8:30 AM – Attend the Opening ceremony. After the Opening Ceremony, spouses will meet and go to Room “C.” Composition/Journal Books Room “C” ~ This is an artistic and fun project. Something everyone can do and will end up with a useful book you can use for yourself or give as a gift. 11:45 AM – Lunch with Vendors/Spouses in the vendor area. 1:10 PM – Speaker, Anita Lewandowski-"All stressed up and no one to choke ~ Let's all find our safe place." This is one speaker you will not want to miss. Anita always delivers a great fun speech and you will go away with a positive good view on life! Come ready to lighten your load and be ready to laugh! 2:30 PM - (approximate start time, depends on speaker) – Fire Chief Auxiliary will have a short meeting. Please bring your ideas for future the conferences and spouse programs. We would like your fundraiser ideas, bring recipes for the cookbook, etc. Everyone is welcome to attend! We are hoping to build up attendance and share some great ideas. 6:30-8:30 PM - BBQ in vendor area. Cash bar. Saturday, October 27th, 2007 9:30 AM Meet in the hotel lobby. Etc. 1913 Larkin ~ An extraordinary accessories shop. Here we will browse around and shop. The Gallery. 2021 Forest ~ This shop has a variety of unique gifts; gourmet goodies, jewelry, floral pieces, pottery, furniture, baubles, body products, accessories and more. Look for your 15% off coupon in your welcome bag. The Gallery will also be providing a snack for us to enjoy while we are browsing. Cornerstone Interior Bistro. 1405 Main ~ We will be having lunch here. They will be providing us a lunch of pasta, bread sticks, dessert & drink. 1:45 PM – Raptor Rehab/Bird Show. We will be going to the zoo to see Mike Cargill and hear about the Raptor Rehab. With his favorite Falcon, Hawk and Owl, he will be doing an awesome bird show. Mike provides a terrific show and loves to answer any questions you have. This is one show you are going to love! 6:30 PM - Banquet Cash bar. Casual dress. |
